Our Mission

The Visual Arts Studio Association of St Albert operates a studio-gallery for its members to provide a place to create and display art and thereby provide a means of developing as a professional artist.

Our Vision

Our Studio - A safe place where artists can expose their creative soul.

Where studio ethics prevail over all.
Where solitude is respected.
Where everyone feels their creative talent is equal.
Where criticism is given only when asked for.
Where participating artists feel totally supported in their creative process.
Where the subject of visual art is the dominant topic of conversation.
Where the public is exposed to the creative process of visual art.

Our studio is a cooperative workplace and gallery that displays current works by members. We are located in Grandin Mall, St Albert. We will soon add another studio and gallery on Perron St. in St. Albert.

Our studio is a unique opportunity for the public to witness the creative mind at work. Not only are finished works on display, but also works in progress line the walls. Visitors invited in the studio area realize that many different methods and media are employed by the artists. Creating a work of art is a process of discovery by learning and experimentation, trial and error. By inviting the public to view this process the artists of VASA can share some of their experiences, demystifying the creation of art.

Working in a cooperative environment, all artists take turns working in the Studio, as well as sharing in all other aspects of the responsibilities to maintain the facility.
